When I first started working I didn’t know what SEO was, I did a little research on my own and watched informative youtube videos. But I eventually went on mentorship.com and hired a mentor to meet with me once a week to go over what I learned and also help me understand some concepts better.
Through a lot of zoom calls and emails back and forth, she taught me how to: conduct website audits, technical on page SEO, PR SEO, and research SEO keywords using ahrefs
How I researched keywords. I was fortunate enough to have an Aherfs account where we researched long tail keywords for a blog. This also helped with emails, website copy, and social media copy.
Karyn taught me to do competitive keyword research where I would look at keywords that had a search volume of 500-10,000 and KD of 0-30. Then I would type this into google suggest to see what the most popular articles and words that would come up.
I would also use words like “vs” “and” “with” and “or” to come up with blog articles titles that were popular
